New Classics Challenge - Wrap-up posts

So, here we are. We're approaching the end of the New Classics Challenge. During January, please do your wrap-up post (if you've finished, that is!). Make sure that include your vote for which of the 100 books is your favorite - and don't forget to tell us why!

The winning book will be sent to a lucky winner chosen by the scientific method favored here in the blogosphere, i.e. names in a hat. If the winner already owns/has read the winning book, they will receive the next one on the list.

Leave the link to your specific post below. Make sure it's your specific post please, if I can't find your post on this then you won't be included in the draw!

Hi, Joanna! Are you going to host this one for 2009?

Hi Lezlie! No, I won't... I don't seem to be very good at it and in the end I'm not even finishing it! :-) Maybe you should do it! :-)

Thanks for reminding me to do a wrap-up post! I finished recently, but I entered my last review in the December Mr. Linky..sorry about that!

Thanks for hosting this challenge - it introduced me to a whole bunch of new books! Someone has just started a perpetual challenge for the New Classics, and this challenge has made me seriously consider it!

Thanks again - it was fun!

Done! It was hard to pick, but I think my favourite was The Handmaid's Tale. It was terrifying and beautiful and it made me think about what woman had to face throughout history and still have to face today.

I read 8 books off the list and my favorite (by a long stretch) was The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

(The others were really good, but Chabon is genius.)

Thanks so much for hosting this challenge - I didn't quite finish but I'm very happy with the books I did manage to get through.
