I've been wanting to keep track of my reading by country for a while and I was inspired by CaribousMom, so I'm finally starting something similar. I don't want to include books that I've already read, I'm starting with a clean slate. I will continue adding to this list as I discover books I want to read - if I've read them there will be a link to my thoughts.

Just 'happened" on your blog and as always love to see what other people are reading. On your "Around the World in Books" list, The Poisonwood Bible" and "Half a Yellow Sun" are wonderful engrossing books I am sure you will love! Found some interesting books I will add to my list! Thanks
This is fun-Sheila at book journey had a 52 state challenge so I kept track of books and where they were situated-it is interesting to see where your reading tastes take you.
I just love this list - I'm certainly going to pick books from this list...
Great list but one region is unrepresented - the Caribbean!
These are a few I'd recommend:-
The Farming of the Bones - Edwidge Danticat
In the Time of the Butterflies - Julia Alvarez
My Brother - Jamaica Kincaid
Witchbroom - Lawrence Scott
Wide Sargasson Sea - Jean Rhys
Happy reading!
