Japanese Reading Challenge

The Japanese reading challenge is back! Since Belezza is only requiring one book this time around, I figure I actually have a chance of completing the challenge. :-) If you want to play too, make sure you visit the challenge blog, there are loads of great suggestions on there!

Completed: 0/1 as of 17 June 2010

Hard-Boiled Wonderland at the End of the World by Haruki Murakami
After Dark by Haruki Murakami

Enjoy this one - I'm probably going to be reading a Murakami as well (surprise, surprise!). Not read Kafka on the Shore yet, so it just makes sense to read it now. Mind you, I said exactly the same thing for the last Japanese Lit Challenge.

Actually really looking forward to reading all the reviews - some books are absolutely freakishly fascinating (Natsuo Kirino's Out and Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go come to mind).

I've sworn off challenges but I might do this one unofficially. I love Bellezza's Japanese Reading Challenge and I've been really wanting to read more Murikami. I've only read Kafka on the Shore but I've heard that After Dark is really good as well. Enjoy!

Enjoy participating in the challenge!

I am still debating whether to join in. I've joined every year so I should but I'm just having the worst track record with challenges lately. Ah well it's still fun to join.

anothercookie - Kafka on the Shore is great, though strange... I too am looking forward to reading the reviews and adding more books to my wishlist!

Trish - come on Trish, it's only one book! :-)

Iliana - definitely still fun to join, just do it! :-)
